“I strive to educate and empower my patients to make well informed decisions about their health and well-being. I use a Multi-disciplinary approach including educating, diet and lifestyle modifcations with a focus on stress reducation, in addition to acupuncture and chinese medicine. I practice a gentle technique in order to ease my patients.
After suffering from constant GI conditions, chronic pain and an endocrine disorder during my childhood I discovered I had food intolerances and sensitivities. This information revolutionized the way I thought of western medicine, pharmacology and the way I used it.
When my doctors failed to give me the answers I needed, I turned to nutrition, herbs and acupuncture to heal. This experience and knowledge has allowed me to empathize with my patients who also suffer from chronic conditions that western medicine is not equipped to handle effectively. I know first hand how emotionally trying it can be to see numerous specialists who are unable to help you regain health and feeling a sense of hopelessness about ever becoming healthy again.
This experience is what inspired me to further my studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Nutrition with a focus on chronic disease including food intolerances/sensitivities, endocrine and metabolic dysfunction, autoimmune disease, gastrointestinal conditions and chronic pain.”
